NU Online News Service, Aug. 7, 2003, 12:13 p.m. EDT – Mid Atlantic Medical Services Inc., Rockville, Md., is reporting $39 million in net income for the second quarter on $673 million in revenue, up from $18 million in net income on $559 million in revenue for the second quarter of 2002.
The managed care company ended the quarter providing or administering health coverage for 2 million people, about as many people as it covered a year earlier.
Average health premium revenue per commercial indemnity and health maintenance organization member increased 17%, to $654.
