NU Online News Service, Aug. 1, 2003, 12:15 p.m. EDT – AmeriGroup Corp., Virginia Beach, Va., is reporting $18 million in net income for the second quarter on $394 million in revenue, up from $13 million in net income on $279 million in revenue for the second quarter of 2002.
AmeriGroup, which runs health plans for government insurance programs, ended the quarter insuring or administering coverage for 819,000 people, up from 533,000 people a year earlier.
