NU Online News Service, May 7 2003, 12:07 p.m. EDT – AmerUs Group Company, Des Moines, Iowa, is reporting $36 million in net income for the first quarter on $404 million in revenue, up from $25 million in net income on $355 million in revenue for the first quarter of 2002.
Fixed life sales have been solid, but sales of fixed annuities were down, AmerUs says.
