NU Online News Service, April 30, 2003, 11:45 a.m. EDT – Ameritas Group, Lincoln, Neb., will be working with HealthPlan Services Inc., Tampa, Fla., to sell dental and vision plans to companies with fewer than 50 employees.
Traditionally, Ameritas has focused on cases with 50 to 50,000 lives.
Ameritas and HealthPlan Services have already hired a joint sales representative for the Dallas area, and they are close to hiring candidates for several other cities, the companies say.
Ameritas, a unit of The Ameritas Acacia Companies, Lincoln, is an insurer, and HealthPlan Services is an independent benefits sales and administration company.
