Greenberg: AIG Working With Fewer Reinsurers

Maurice "Hank" Greenberg, chairman of American International Group Inc., New York, told insurance analysts here that his company has shortened the list of reinsurers it will do business with.

AIG now requires foreign reinsurers and lower-rated domestic reinsurers to have collateral, Greenberg said at a financial services conference organized by the New York office of UBS Warburg.
