NU Online News Service, Feb. 25, 9:14 a.m. – HealthMarket Inc., Norwalk, Conn., says Tennessee insurance regulators have given its insurance company subsidiary, American Travelers Assurance Company, permission to begin selling defined-contribution health insurance plans in Tennessee.
The HealthMarket defined-contribution plans offer high-deductible health insurance, individual health savings accounts, an annual rollover feature and Web-based information services.
HealthMarket has enrolled about 2,500 employer groups in Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Texas, the company says.
