NU Online News Service, Feb. 3, 4:58 p.m. –Humana Inc., Louisville, Ky., is reporting a $1.7 million net loss for the fourth quarter of 2002 on $2.9 billion in revenue, compared with $35 million in net income on $2.6 billion in revenue for the fourth quarter of 2001.
Net results for the latest quarter include $86 million in charges for restructuring operations, the company says.
Humana ended the quarter providing major medical coverage for 3.7 million people, up from 3.5 million people at the end of 2001.
