NU Online News Service, Jan. 24, 10:54 a.m. – The Kansas Credit Scoring Task Force has concluded that Kansas law does not currently give state officials specific authority to regulate use of credit scores in insurance underwriting.

Kansas consumers need to know more about credit scores and how the scores affect insurance coverage, but imposing a total ban on insurance credit scoring would be as inappropriate as continuing to allow unfettered use, the task force argues in its report on the practice.
