NU Online News Service, Dec. 9, 12:42 p.m. – Chief financial officers may be more interested in using health benefits to attract good employees than to hold down the cost of employee absences, according to an informal survey by the Integrated Benefits Institute, San Francisco.
The group surveyed 269 CFOs and found that 69% cited attracting employees as their top "workforce challenge," and that 68% cited retention.
Fifty-five percent named employee motivation as a major concern, but only 24% said managing employee absences was a big worry.
