NU Online News Service, Sept. 19, 1:37 p.m. – Stanford University has agreed to offer defined-contribution health coverage from Definity Health Inc., Minneapolis, to its 10,000 employees starting Jan. 1, 2003.
Louisiana State University and the University of Minnesota also offer Definity coverage as an option, Definity says.
Defined-contribution health plans provide a combination of high-deductible health insurance and cash contributions to personal health reimbursement accounts that participants can use to pay for routine medical care.
