NU Online News Service, Aug. 8, 5:34 p.m. – Mid Atlantic Medical Services Inc., Rockville, Md., is reporting $18 million in net income for the second quarter on $575 million in revenue, up from $12 million in net income on $450 million in revenue for the second quarter of 2001.
The managed care company ended the quarter providing or administering major medical coverage for 2 million people, up from 1.8 million people a year earlier.
Average premium revenue per commercial plan member increased 13%, to $588.
