NU Online News Service, March 27, 10:58 a.m. – StanCorp Financial Group Inc., Portland, Ore., says a subsidiary, The Standard Life Insurance Company of New York, White Plains, N.Y., has received approval from New York insurance regulators to sell group life and accidental death & dismemberment insurance in New York.
Standard New York expects to begin giving quotes for those products in the state by May.
The subsidiary already had permission to sell group short-term disability insurance, long-term disability insurance and disability benefts law coverage in New York.
