NU Online News Service, Feb. 26, 2:05 p.m. – Express Scripts Inc., St. Louis, has acquired the assets of Phoenix Marketing Group (Holdings) Inc., a drug sample shipping company, from Access Worldwide Communications Inc., Boca Raton, Fla., a pharmaceutical marketing company, for $33 million in cash.
Pharmaceutical companies paid Phoenix to ship 95 million samples to doctors in 2001, Express Scripts says.
Express Scripts is a large pharmacy benefit management company.
