NU Online News Service, Feb. 5, 6:15 p.m. – The American Legislative Exchange Council, Washington, a conservative political group, has named Fortis Health, Milwaukee, private sector chair for high-risk insurance pools for its health and human services task force.
Fortis Health, a unit of Fortis, Brussels, will be responsible for tracking developments at the pools.
High-risk pools are organizations that provide major medical coverage for sick people and other people in a state who have difficulty buying health insurance. Thirty-one states have set up risk health pool programs.
