NU Online News Service, Jan. 28, 3:55 p.m. – SNL Securities, Charlottesville, Va., a financial services research firm, is changing its name to SNL Financial.
The company once focused on the securities industry, but it now covers banks, insurance companies and specialized financial services companies as well as securities firms.
The new name reflects the expanded mission more accurately, SNL says.
