NU Online News Service, Jan. 8, 6:18 p.m. – The Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development, Pearl River, N.Y., has named Carl Gaspar chair and Marilyn Norman chair-elect.
ACORD is a nonprofit group that helps set technology standards for insurers and other financial services companies.
Gaspar, the new chair, is the founder and president of Gaspar-Jones & Associates Inc., Englewood, Colo., a property-casualty broker. He is a past chair of the business technology committee at the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents, Alexandria, Va. Gaspar has also served on the ACORD operations committee.
Norman, the new chair-elect, is senior vice president of distribution management at Zurich U.S., a unit of Zurich Financial Services Group, Zurich. She previously was chair of the ACORD planning committee.
