NU Online News Service, Dec. 19, 12:14 p.m. – Transamerica Life Insurance Company, Los Angeles, has hired AnnuityNet Inc., Leesburg, Va., to set up a Web-based order-entry service for individual fixed and variable annuities.
Transamerica will promote the system through its broker-dealer and bank distribution operations, and its own broker Web site, AnnuityNet says.
Earlier this month, AnnuityNet announced it had sold a similar order-entry system to Nationwide Financial Services Inc., Columbus, Ohio.
Transamerica is a unit of Aegon N.V., The Hague, Netherlands.
