NU Online News Service, Dec. 17, 1:33 p.m. – Horace Mann Service Corp., Springfield, Ill., says it will be selling group dental and eye care insurance from Ameritas Life Insurance Corp., Lincoln, Neb.
Horace Mann, a company that specializes in marketing insurance to teachers, will sell custom-designed Ameritas plans to groups with more than 100 lives, and off-the-shelf "Wisdom Series" plans to groups with fewer than 100 lives.
HealthPlan Services Inc., Tampa, Fla., will handle administration for groups that buy the Wisdom Series plans.
