NU Online News Service, Sept. 20, 10:35 a.m. – Sierra Health Services Inc., Dallas, says its Texas Health Choice L.P. unit will leave the Dallas Medicare health maintenance organization market Jan. 1, 2002, because of inadequate funding from the federal government.
Texas Health Choice now serves 46,000 commercial customers and 14,000 Medicare managed care customers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
