NU Online News Service, July 9, 10:13 a.m. – UnumProvident Corp., Chattanooga, Tenn., is teaming up with the Kemper Insurance Companies, Long Grove, Ill., and Gallagher Bassett Services Inc., Itasca, Ill., to offer a new integrated disability management program to employers.
UnumProvident will provide the disability income coverage and manage the related claims.
GENEX Services Inc., a UnumProvident subsidiary, will handle case management, return-to-work programs, and cost-containment programs.
Kemper will provide workers' compensation coverage, and Gallagher, a third-party administrator owned by Arthur J. Gallagher & Company, will provide stand-alone claims management services.
The sales representatives for all of the companies will be responsible for selling the program to insurance brokers and consulting firms, the companies say.
