Tech savvy? Yes. Cyber socialites? Not quite. While boomers may be going online in drones, they're not flocking to social networking sites despite recent hype.
"We boomers behave online just as younger people do - shopping, banking, learning - but we have not yet committed to social networks," says Robin Wolaner, founder and CEO of tbd.com (another online boomer community Web site), in the Nov. 19, 2007 issue of Newsweek. She admits she was skeptical, yet hopeful, that boomer cyber networking would gain much more momentum within the year. It hasn't yet.
