It's predicted about 14 million baby boomers will develop Alzheimer's disease as they continue to age. The alarming study released by the U.S. Alzheimer's Association puts that figure at approximately 18 percent of all boomers. In the association's report "2008 Alzheimer's Disease Facts and Figures," the risk for the disease begins at age 62.
USA Today reports age is the biggest risk factor, and with medical advances allowing people to live longer, there is an added risk to develop the incurable disease. The oldest baby boomers are turning 62 this year.
