How to Shrink Stress

When stress impinges on your worklife--whether it emanates from work or from home--it can force you into your less functional, primitive survival mode. To return more easily to your peak thriving mode, try this conscious process:

First, step back and reflect on the situation. What's causing your stress? Is it intensified by echoes from the past? Then make time for self-soothing therapies that have help you chill out in the past. This needn't be a single technique; it may be a combination of stress-busting activities, reaching out to loved ones, and other forms of support.
