Top-performing wealth management practices have been setting themselves apart through strategic business development, depth of high-net-worth services, personalized client service and a commitment to long-term growth.

New research from Invesco, based on Cerulli Associates data covering more than 3,000 advisors, identifies best practices and defining characteristics among the top-performing wealth managers across four core dimensions: new business development, client service, wealth management and practice management.

The report draws on data collected between the first quarter of 2023 and the second quarter of 2025, representing a sample size of 2,385 respondents across multiple channels.

Researchers categorized respondents into quartiles based on total scores on Invesco's proprietary Practice Innovation Index, ranging from 0 to 140 points. The top quartile includes scores of 99 and above, the third quartile scores from 89 to 98, the second quartile scores from 80 to 88 and the bottom quartile scores 79 and below.
