Nitrogen, a California-based financial technology company, launched Legacy Center last week to help advisors retain assets across generational wealth transfers.

Legacy Center, first announced at Nitrogen's spring 2026 product launch event on May 12, is available as a standalone add-on or as part of Nitrogen Complete, at $419 per month.

Legacy Center includes two main elements: Legacy Map and Legacy Key.

Legacy Map generates a visual picture of a client's full estate, including accounts, trusts, insurance policies and beneficiaries that are tied to real projected dollar amounts, built from data already in Nitrogen.

Legacy Key, coming in June, is an advisor-branded message sent directly to each beneficiary through Nitrogen, a client-approved connection that gives the next generation a point of contact and a guide for what to do when the time comes.

Around $124 trillion in wealth will transfer through 2048, according to Cerulli Associates. Dan Zitting, CEO of Nitrogen, told ThinkAdvisor that this "Great Wealth Transfer" has been a known pressure point for independent advisors for years, "but the industry hadn't offered a practical, workflow-integrated way to address it."

"Advisors weren't just asking for estate planning tools; they were asking for a natural, client-approved way to build relationships with the next generation before a client passes, not after," he said.

Legacy Center wasn't put through a formal beta program before launch, said Zitting.

"The product was built on a foundation of direct advisor research and years of behavioral data from tens of thousands of advisors using Nitrogen's connected suite," he said. "That existing depth meant the team could build toward a well-understood workflow problem rather than discovering requirements in beta."

As Legacy Key is yet to roll out, Zitting said it's too early for client feedback. He said the response from advisors at the launch was positive, though.

"The feature addresses something advisors have felt acutely," he said. "There's rarely a graceful, intentional moment to introduce yourself to a client's beneficiaries. Legacy Key gives them that moment in a way that's personal, branded and client-sanctioned."
