Wells Fargo has launched an Advisor Gateway platform with access to over 200 tools and applications.
Offerings include proprietary systems such as Account 360, Client Review Center and Money Movement, alongside third‑party investment goal planning software, research tools and a centralized resource for alternative investments, according to a statement.
Sol Gindi, head of Wells Fargo Advisors, told ThinkAdvisor that Advisor Gateway has been in development for a few years.
"We've been listening to our advisors closely along the way as we shaped the platform," he said.
Over the past several years, Wells Fargo's Wealth & Investment Management has invested $1 billion in building its technology ecosystem.
The latest advancement integrated into Advisor Gateway is Proposal and Portfolio Analytics, a tool offering on‑demand client proposals and real‑time portfolio analysis using Aladdin Wealth's wealth management technology from BlackRock Aladdin.
Developing a centralized workspace, Gindi said, helps advisors to better support clients as they manage relationships and grow their practices.
"This is a re-architecture of our advisor desktop that is designed around the client, easily integrates the best internal and external technologies, and is the foundation for integrating AI," he said.
The Proposal and Portfolio Analytics tool also includes the Aladdin Wealth "Auto Commentary" feature, a generative AI capability.
Gindi said this feature allows advisors to better prepare for client meetings.
"As we thoughtfully evaluate AI capabilities, we follow Wells Fargo's strong AI governance that aligns implementation with the company's values," he said.
Wealth & Investment Management offers financial products and services through bank and brokerage affiliates of Wells Fargo & Co. It has $2.2 trillion in client assets.
