Nationwide has picked Ann Raible to manage some of its major annuity distribution pipes.

Raible will take over from Amy Mattingly as the leader of the Columbus, Ohio-based company's advisory annuity distribution channel.

She will oversee distribution of annuities through RIAs, independent marketing organizations and third-party partnerships, including outsourced insurance desks.

Raible will also continue to run Nationwide's specialized annuity distribution operation.

Mattingly left the advisory annuity distribution post to become head of Nationwide's group benefits distribution.

Brad Carrier continues to lead Nationwide's brokerage annuity distribution team.

What it means: Nationwide's advisory annuity could expand efforts to reach younger workers.

Raible commented on LinkedIn recently that, according to new Nationwide survey results, younger workers are starting to save for retirement earlier.

Younger workers are "engaging more actively with their workplace retirement plans, and planning for market volatility, while many Gen X and baby boomers report wishing they had taken similar steps sooner," Raible said.

Ann Raible: Raible has been working in annuity sales at Nationwide and a company that Nationwide acquired, Jefferson National, since 2006.

She is a member of the board of the National Association for Fixed Annuities and has a bachelor's degree from the University of Louisville.

The backdrop: In 2025, Rona Guymon led both advisory annuity distribution and brokerage annuity distribution at Nationwide.

Guymon left to become president of the retail life and annuity operation at Prosperity Life.

Nationwide named Mattingly and Carrier to fill the annuity distribution leadership hole created by Guymon's departure.
