Wells Fargo customers reported problems gaining online access to their accounts early Monday, according to data on outage monitoring site Downdetector.
Problem reports started around 8:40 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time, and surpassed 900 by roughly 10 a.m., Downdetector showed. Most reports cited login difficulties.
"Wells Fargo is down," one Downdetector user posted. Another quoted a company web page as saying: "We're sorry, our system is temporarily unavailable," but added that the bank's app seemed to be working.
"Down on windows desktop. Phone app works but not showing expected direct deposit," another posted.
A Wells Fargo spokesperson didn't immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
