Some of America’s richest people have dipped into their fortunes to buy individual sports teams, and others have built empires comprising teams in multiple sports, according to Forbes’ Real-Time Billionaire rankings.
The wealth-tracking platform provides ongoing updates on the net worth and ranking of each individual confirmed by Forbes to be a billionaire. The value of his or her public holdings is updated every 5 minutes when respective stock markets are open, or once a day in the case of individuals whose fortunes are significantly tied to private companies.
