Stratos Wealth Holdings announced Thursday the appointment of Charis Jones as chief operating officer and head of supervision.
In the role, Jones is tasked with overseeing the firm’s advisory operations and supervision departments, as well as Stratos Investment Management, the firm's affiliated sub-advisor.
Jones comes to Stratos from Hightower Securities, where she was chief compliance officer and executive director of compliance for Hightower Advisors. Before that, she spent more than eight years at LPL Financial, culminating in her role as chief supervisory officer.
Jones has nearly three decades of industry experience. Earlier in her career, she was an executive director at Morgan Stanley, where she helped develop oversight frameworks, and as a vice president at Citi Private Bank.
Jeff Concepcion, founder and CEO of Stratos Wealth Partners, cited Jones’ “remarkable depth of experience” in complex supervisory and compliance functions as key drivers of her appointment.
“Her operational insight, strategic leadership, and passion for advisor support align perfectly with our mission to empower advisors and strengthen the Stratos platform,” Conception said in a statement.
Jones will focus on optimizing Stratos' operational infrastructure, enhancing advisor service delivery and supporting continued excellence across its regulatory and investment functions.
Jones said she’s “honored to be taking on he role at such an exciting time of growth,” citing the firm’s “culture of collaboration, innovation and advisor-focused support.”
