Carson Group announced a series of senior hires this week, including that of Heather Zack, the former Commonwealth Financial Network executive who joins Carson’s newly created private client services team.
Zack’s Commonwealth tenure lasted more than 14 years. She most recently served as the firm’s manager of advanced planning, supporting affiliated advisors on issues involving estate, charitable and tax planning.
On the advanced planning team, she will help Carson's financial advisors best serve ultra-high-net-worth clients, which it defines as those with $10 million or more in investable assets. Zack will report to Chief Strategy Officer Dani Fava, the former Envestnet and TD Ameritrade executive.
Zack’s appointment coincides with a number of additional senior hires, according to the firm. Lisa VanArsdale becomes a vice president of advisor development, and David Haughton is a new vice president of estate planning. VanArsdale brings more than 15 years of experience to the role, most recently working as an advisor at LPL, while Haughton joins the firm from Wealth.com, where he was senior corporate counsel.
Likewise, Liam Heffernan has joined the firm as a vice president of mergers and acquisitions. Heffernan most recently was director of corporate development at SageView Advisory Group, where he played a role in more than $30 billion in wealth and retirement plan acquisitions.
“These leaders reflect some of the very best of what our industry has to offer,” Burt White, CEO of Carson Group, said in a statement. “By intentionally building a deep bench of talent, we’re able to bring fresh perspectives, specialized expertise and innovative solutions to the advisors and clients we serve.”
