Future Proof, the financial media and events company formerly known as Advisor Circle, is set to kick off the 2025 edition of the Future Proof Festival on Sept. 7 in Huntington Beach, California.

Matt Middleton, CEO of Future Proof, told ThinkAdvisor that the event is expected to draw more than 5,000 wealth management and technology professionals for a four-day learning and networking experience that an "unparalleled opportunity to learn about the future of finance."

"It's hard to believe that this event is only four years old," Middleton said. "One of the things I'm most excited about is our ability to truly build a community environment, where people are eager to come and engage with their peers in all manner of settings, including fun activities and experiences that are completely unique and engaging."

Speakers heading to the event include Barry Ritholtz, Josh Brown, Michael Kitces, Douglas Boneparth and dozens of other influential figures in the wealth management industry.

Ritholtz will present on the content of his new book, "How Not to Invest," while Brown will give opening remarks and host a live episode of the Compound and Friends podcast. Kitces’ presentation will discuss major trends in advisor technology.

Topics on the agenda are organized around five key pillars:

  • Investment Delivery 2030
  • Serving the 100-Year Investor
  • Scaling Family Office Services Beyond the Ultra-Wealthy

ThinkAdvisor will be on the ground at the event, participating in a panel discussion about wealth management merger and acquisition trends in 2025, with a special focus on the role of artificial intelligence and RIA market momentum on the fast pace of dealmaking.

In addition to earning continuing education credits and attending panel discussion and presentations, attendees will participate in nearly 50,000 “Breakthru” speed networking sessions.

The program allows attendees with similar interests and learning objectives to share their expertise via 15-minute one-on-one discussions, with an emphasis on finding opportunities to collaborate.

As in prior years, the 2025 event will conclude with an on-site music festival, this time featuring Bush, the British rock band that has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, and Blues Traveler, the Grammy Award-winning American rock band.
