The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards has launched a new exam preparation platform designed to support candidates pursuing CFP certification with interactive quizzes and feedback generated by a vetted artificial intelligence engine.

A CFP Board representative previewed the tool for ThinkAdvisor ahead of its public launch on Monday. It features real-time performance tracking, customizable quizzes and detailed answer rationales to reinforce learning.

The quizzes are organized according to the CFP Board’s “principal knowledge domains,” which include professional conduct and regulation, general principles of financial planning, risk management and insurance planning, investment planning, tax planning, retirement savings and income planning, estate planning, and the psychology of financial planning.

“CFP Exam Prep is a game-changer in how we empower candidates on their path to CFP certification,” said CFB Board CEO Kevin Keller. “This cutting-edge platform gives candidates the tools they need to study smarter, with personalized insights, real-time feedback and the flexibility to learn anytime, anywhere.”

The tool was developed in collaboration with Prometric, the technology provider that administers the CFP exam. It will imminently be available for purchase to all CFP account holders, granting candidates one year of unlimited access.

Candidates can access the platform via mobile application or browser on their device of choice. It complements the CFP Practice Exam, which provides a simulated examination experience that helps candidates gauge their readiness and target weak spots.
