Carson Group has named Ramesh Vaswani as its new chief technology officer.
In the role, Vaswani is responsible for developing and executing Carson Group’s technology strategy, as well as aligning the $41 billion registered investment advisor’s business and technology goals.
Vaswani said in a statement that he is “thrilled to be joining Carson Group at this pivotal moment in the company’s growth trajectory.”
“I’m passionate about aligning business and technology to drive results, and I see an incredible opportunity to integrate technology in a way that promotes growth and creates ease and confidence for our advisors,” he said.
Dani Fava, chief strategy officer of Carson Group, cited Vaswani’s two decades of technology development experience as key factors in his appointment.
“We want to be known as a curator and integrator of the best technology solutions to support our advisors,” Fava said. “Our technology strategy is designed to specifically do just this, and Ramesh will bring the required experience, expertise and diligence to bring our vision to life.”
Like Fava, Vaswani comes to Carson Group from Envestnet, where he was the global group head of engineering and oversaw more than 250 technology staffers. During his tenure at Envestnet, Vaswani helped to improve operational efficiency through automation and enterprise-wide AI adoption, according to Carson Group.
“We can all agree that technology is changing the way we operate, and consumers expect their advisors to be up to date on the latest and greatest tools to make the experience the best it can be,” added Carson Group CEO Burt White. “As part of our value proposition to our advisors, we're constantly thinking about how we can make their lives easier and we recognize the tremendous role technology plays in this mission.”
