Crossmark Global Investments CEO Bob Doll noted Monday that economic growth exceeded expectations and stock valuations rose again this year — giving the U.S. stock market greater than 25% returns annually for the past two years.

While investors expect another good year in 2025, they’re nervous about valuations, said Doll, who is also the firm's chief investment officer.

The key questions for 2025 are whether the economy, earnings, the Federal Reserve and the new White House administration can deliver another strong year for investors, he said, noting that “the U.S. economic expansion is alive and well” despite considerable policy uncertainty.

Doll releases his 2025 predictions on Dec. 31. Meanwhile, he reports that he was right on seven of his 10 predictions for 2024. Check the gallery to see how Doll graded Crossmark’s predictions for this year.
