The latest advisory firm to join tru Independence's $9 billion independent advisory growth platform is Seven Mile Advisory, a multifamily office in the New York City area that advises on more than $1 billion in assets, the companies said Wednesday
The addition of Seven Mile expands tru's presence in the Northeast.
Seven Mile serves ultra-high-net-worth investors including business owners, private equity and real estate investors and operators, professional athletes and entertainers.
Seven Mile has been run by Pamela Perskie, its CEO and founder, along with Keith Feinberg, its chief operating officer and wealth strategist, and Emily Herrup and Nicole Bellefeuille, its vice presidents and client advisors.
"Pam and her team go way beyond portfolio management as a value-add, creating bespoke planning solutions and innovative ways to solve clients' needs," according to Amit Dogra, tru president and COO.
After a wide-ranging search for a partner firm, Perskie and her team at Seven Mile "appreciated tru's commitment to serving as the fiduciary to fiduciary advisors, as well as its proven history in serving advisors with UHNW clients," according to the companies.
The Seven Mile team says it was especially compelled by tru's "Experience As a Service" platform that combines behavioral finance, fintech and human capital.
Through the partnership, Seven Mile "will be well positioned to support existing clients while also tapping tru's compliance, technology platform, and family office consulting services to drive growth," the firms said.
Tru says it added over $1 billion in assets in 2022.
Other firms that recently joined tru include Invenio Wealth Partners, a $250 million firm based in Coral Gables, Florida, and Channel Wealth, a $650 million RIA based in Santa Barbara, California.
