Wealth management firm Creative Planning has appointed Charlie Bilello, Compound Capital Advisors founder and CEO, to a new chief market strategist position, effective Jan. 1.

Bilello tweeted the news Sunday, and Creative Planning founder and CEO Peter Mallouk responded with a welcome message.

"We are always looking for ways to educate our clients and Charlie is just an incredible educator,"  Mallouk told ThinkAdvisor via email Tuesday. "He fits into the Creative way perfectly. I know our team is excited and our clients are going to benefit as well."

Bilello has closed Compound Capital, Mallouk said.
