RBC Wealth Management says it has recruited a team from Merrill Lynch with about $550 million of client assets in Beverly Hills, California.

The news comes one week after the firm added a $1.4 billion group from Wells Fargo Advisors in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

The team joining RBC, the Ciriello Group, includes advisors Nick Ciriello and Elizabeth Zimmer.

Ciriello, a certified investment management analyst, has 18 years of industry experience; he spent the past 16 years at Merrill, after working at Prudential Securities and JPMorgan. Zimmer has been in the business for three years, all of which she spent at Merrill.

"After careful consideration, our team made the decision to join RBC Wealth Management because of its strong reputation of always acting in the best interests of clients, as well as access to the global resources of RBC," according to Ciriello.

RBC Wealth includes about 1,800 advisors with $353 billion in total assets.

"We are thrilled to welcome the Ciriello Group to our rapidly growing Beverly Hills office," said Mike Melton, director of RBC Wealth's Southern California complex, in a statement. "The team is extremely talented and committed to building strong client relationships based on trust and personalized service, which is a great fit for our client-first culture."
