2013 has been a headache of a year for Riddell. A codefendant in a lawsuit over concussions and the NFL terminated its contract with the helmet maker. To help make amends, the company launched Riddell InSite – an integrated monitoring system that provides head-impact data from players on the field. Though not a diagnostic tool, the helmets are designed to help prevent on-field head trauma.
