Big 3 ratings firms facing competition

Organizations from five countries will merge into one ratings firm.

Standard & Poor's, Moody's and Fitch will not be looking forward to 2014. That is when ARC Ratings expects to open for business. The new firm will be the combined operations of CPR of Portugal, CARE Rating of India, GCR of South Africa, MARC of Malaysia and SR Rating of Brasil, and headquartered in London.
