LinkedIn has been called the professional's Facebook. The obvious benefit is a much wider network, albeit digital. Digital endorsements may or may not be taken with a grain of salt, but you have to keep in mind that a lot of people will see the glowing recommendation you wrote for your buddy who has a tendency to get a little rambunctious at tradeshows.
