A report by the liberal-leaning Institute for Policy Studies found that more than one-third of the nation's highest paid CEOs were leading companies that were being subsidized by American taxpayers. Although it was always maintained that firms receiving funds from the Troubled Asset Relief Program needed to highly compensate their C-suite because their stewardship was needed to make them profitable once again, this still stings a little.
