The most famous living scientist on the planet has joined the academic boycott against Israel by refusing to attend a conference hosted by Israeli President, Shimon Peres. The boycott is not just limited to academics – musicians, actors and athletes have all canceled appearances in Israel over the last few years because of its policies towards Palestinians and its settlement building in the West Bank.
