News that the economy shrank marginally in the fourth quarter has some in Washington wondering how sequestration would impact the growing but struggling economy should Congress fail to reach an agreement. However, deficit hawks may be obdurate in compromising because they view sequestration as their only chance to achieve real, substantial cuts.
