The National Association of States United for Aging and Disabilities (NASUAD) has developed a free, Web-based course aimed at the workers who are trying to keep state long-term care (LTC) programs going.

NASUAD, Washington, says the new Strengthening the Aging Network Online Learning Curriculum includes video tutorials, written materials, PowerPoints, and online quizzes.

The course modules cover topics such as dealing with budget challenges, managing program reorganizations, communicating with legislators and new governors, and LTC-related provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (PPACA).
