I'm the owner/operator of a small business that is very tied to the local market. Because I'm divorced, I don't have a spouse's income to depend on—it's just me. In 2005, my business ran into some legal difficulties, which has taken me this long to recover from. So, no, I can't relocate after I retire because I'll probably never retire.

Probably, although we're not really the retire-in-Florida, golf-all-day types. That's fine for some people, but I think we'd get bored. We travel a lot, especially to visit our grandkids in Michigan. We'd never retire there, though. My wife hates the cold, so it'll probably be somewhere in the South. We like Texas a lot. But really, we're too young to be thinking about that yet.

We are in a constant state of relocating. My daughter lives in Colorado with her family—they have two children, a boy and a girl—and my son-in-law has a good business there in the financial industry. About eight years ago, we decided to buy a condo near them so that we'd have somewhere to stay when we visited. Then, a couple of years ago, I retired from my full-time job, and we have been traveling to Colorado for the spring and summer months. Then, at the first sign of chill in the air, we pack up and drive back to our house in Arizona. That way, we get the best of both worlds.

We'll probably do what most old people do and go hang around the grandchildren hoping they'll have time for us. We have nine altogether, and they're scattered about the country, some in California, some in Wisconsin and some in Georgia. We like California a lot, the sunshine and the lifestyle there, but it's still so expensive there, even with the housing market crash. Wisconsin is probably out, but we like Georgia quite a bit.
