Derek Brigham, CPCU, American Family Insurance, is awarded the Don Kampe Lifetime Achievement Award by Doug Kampe, son of the late Don Kampe, at the Inter-Company Marketing Group (ICMG) 2011 annual meeting.The event, now in its 27th year, saw a record number of attendees.
More than 390 people registered for the networking meeting, which was held Feb. 2-4 in Miami. ICMG, a trade association that works to build strategic alliances in the insurance and financial services industries, also sold out its 51 booths in the event's exhibit hall.
"Insurance strategic alliances are proving themselves with each passing year to be increasingly important for revenues and profits," said Ted Williams, immediate past president of ICMG and chief marketing officer and executive vice president of Security Life Insurance Company of America.
Meeting participants included distributors, third-party administrators, carriers, reinsurers and service providers. In addition to networking events, participants also attended panel discussions on topics such as health care reform.
