Financial advisors who participated in a recent survey said they expect to earn an average of about $215,000 this year.
Cerulli Associates Inc., Boston, and the College of Financial Planning, Greenwood Village, Colo., have reported that finding in a summary of results from the survey.
Cerulli and the college collected completed survey questionnaires from 390 advisors who have professional designations from the college.
About 26% of the survey participants said they have fee-only practices, and 30% said they collect some commissions but get at least half of their revenue from fees.
