Empire BlueCross BlueShield of New York has begun offering life and disability insurance through its employee benefits program.
Empire, New York, a unit of WellPoint Inc., Indianapolis, says it has received approval from the New York State Insurance Department to offer the new products.
Empire will sell the products through an affiliate, Anthem Life & Disability Insurance Company, New York.
