Assurant Health is letting insureds who face economic hardship change their coverage options.
Assurant Health, Milwaukee, a unit of Assurant Inc., New York, says consumers covered by its individual medical policies and other policies now have more choices.
Individuals, for example, can shift to higher-deductible plans with lower monthly premiums, then reinstate the lower-deductible plans when their economic situations improve, according to Assurant Health.
